LOVELAND, Colo. (March 1, 2012) – Agrium Advanced Technologies® (AAT) launched the first shipment of their Environmentally Smart Nitrogen® (ESN) product using the new barge loading system from their New Madrid Plant in Missouri. The system was developed to increase efficiencies and provide an alternative form of transportation for product delivery.

Planning for the barge loading system began in May of 2011, with construction starting in September and the first barge load occurring in December. The New Madrid Plant now has the capacity to load and ship product via barge, truck and rail.
